  • Questions & Answers

    1. Why does it start late this year?
    2. How long is the Seder at Chabad?
    3. Will there be Haggadahs in English, will I be able to follow the Seder?
    4. How's the food and wine?
    5. Will I feel welcome as a single, couple, senior, family with children?
    6. Can I choose a seat?

    1) We know it's a bit late... Although we can eat Matzah and drink wine every day of the year, on Passover we have a special Mitzvah to do so and that Mitzvah can only be properly fulfilled at the correct time. It says, that the simple act of eating Matzah at the proper time (after nightfall) can strengthen our faith and bring tremendous blessings into our lives.

    2) How long is the Seder at Chabad? We like to keep the Seder long enough to get the full experience and short enough for you to enjoy. If you need to leave early, you can slip away unnoticed (just make sure to eat some Matzah first). We won't wait until midnight (or even close to that) to greet Elijah; we don't like keeping him (or you) waiting.

    3) Yes, we will have Hebrew-English Haggadahs. Every step of the Seder will be explained well, and we will read many parts of the Haggadah in English together.

    4) How's the food and wine? We’ll have a wonderful selection of wines to choose from, as well as grape juice for those who prefer a non-alcoholic option. Our delicious three-course menu includes fresh fish and salads, a hearty meat dish with all the sides, and a sweet dessert to finish. We look forward to sharing this special meal with you soon! (Food will be served throughout the night to ensure that you don't go hungry)

    5) Will I feel welcome? Absolutely! We take great care to ensure everyone feels welcome. If you're a senior, single, couple, or family with children, there will be a place at a table for you to enjoy this wonderful night of freedom.

    6) Sure! If you are coming with friends or family, feel free to mention it in the comments, and we will make sure you are seated together.
